Add Games To Schedule

Steps for adding games to a schedule.

  1. Start at your state's home page
  2. In the "Find a Team by Team Name" section, enter the first few characters of the name of your team in the team box, select the gender, and press the Find Team button. (search argument examples:):
    • Enter "Carter" for Cartersville High School,
    • Enter "Athens Ac" for Athens Academy,
  3. Returned will be a list of teams that satisfy the search argument.
  4. Click the "'YY" (current season) link to the right of your team. The desired team schedule page will be returned.
  5. On the schedule page, click on the link labeled "Update Game Schedule".
  6. Returned will be a page for your ID and password - enter them and press the Continue button
  7. If your ID is valid for the school, returned will be a page titled "Main Menu/School Information". Press the "Update yy Game Schedule" (where yy equals current season) button on that page.
  8. Returned will be a page with several selections. Press the "Add Games" button.
  9. The "Maintain Schedule" page will be returned with a form for adding games.
    • Add the game date in column 1 of the form.
    • In the next filed of the form enter name of the opponent
      • As is the case with finding a school (above) it is best to enter only the first several characters of the opponent's name or
      • The first few characters of the city a school is located can be entered as well.
  10. Press the Continue button in the last column of the form.
  11. Returned will be a page listing the schools that match the search argument.
  12. Select the opponent by pressing the button to the left of the desired team. Note that the button contains the SIS assigned school number (SNO).
  13. The "Maintain Schedule" page will be returned. Note that the team number and team name of the desired team is retuned to the form in column 2 and the team name is cleared from the search box of column 2.
  14. Select the game time and site and press the Continue button
  15. Returned will be a page titled "Validate Game". This page provides a visual check of the game that was just entered.
    • If all is OK the "Save This Game" button is pressed.
    • If changes need to be made press the browser's back button, make corrections, and re-validate the game.
  16. When all the data for the game is OK, the "Save This Game" button is pressed.
  17. A fresh copy of the "Maintain Schedule" page will be returned. Repeat the previous steps until all games have been entered.
  18. At any time during the process a list of the games that have been entered can be reviewed by pressing the "Review/Submit Changes" button. If a game has been entered in error or contains errors it can be delete by pressing the "Delete Changes" button. Deleted games can then be re-entered if necessary.
  19. After all games have been entered, press the "Review/Submit Changes" button.
  20. A page titled "Pending Updates" will be returned.
  21. The final step will be to press the "Submit Updates for Posting" Button.
    Note: Unless this step is taken, the changes will not be posted to the game schedule!
  22. Returned will be a page titled "Pending Changes Submitted". This is your confirmation that the changes have been posted.
  23. To return to the Maint Menu to enter additional changes press the "Return to Main Menu" botton.
  24. To return to the updated game schedule click on the phrase "Return to (your team) game schedule"
  25. Note: Entry order of the games is not important.
